Greetings from the snow-covered mountains of Virginia.

Here on the farm, we are having an old-fashioned Winter with lots of cold, wind, and snow.

Amazingly, the cows don’t seem to mind the cold weather until the real feel temperature falls below 20 degrees. Even then, a healthy cow will just eat more to stay warm. Unfortunately, that doesn’t work for the humans who are feeding on the cows. Or maybe it does, as we eat grass fed beef and put on a protective layer of healthy fat to burn in our system in the cold months.

Anyways, it keeps us busy caring for everyone!

On January 2nd, we did our early winter harvest. This provides an opportunity to restock our freezers and yours with a quarter, half, or whole of our premium 100% Grass Fed, NO GMO, NO vaccine, NO Lactic Acid, Citric Acid, or Chlorine cleaners Beef.

This meat will be shipped directly from the butcher to you in large quantities. This saves us significant expense and we are pleased to pass it on to you.

Savings typically ranges from 10-20%.

This is our final bulk discount sale until July 2026.

Orders need to be placed and 50% deposit paid by January 9th.

Unfortunately, the cost of raising meat continues to rise, forcing us to raise our prices on beef, lamb, and pork as well.

Click here to email us for pricing and to order.

Thank you for supporting our farm. Without you buying and consuming the food we produce, we couldn’t do what we love to do.

Wishing you a Happy New Year,
The Fishers at Simply Grassfed

Lamb Coming This Winter

Feels like Winter this week with 6-inches of snow at Burke’s Garden. The kids couldn’t wait to get out of school to go sledding down the hill. On the farm, this means the animals eat more food to stay warm and water troughs need to have ice broken each day.

What's So Great About Grass?

Mama cows with their babies often live in grass environments but many of them are fed supplemental grain. And, most beef landing on dinner plates comes from cattle kept in huge confinement systems and fed only grain while they live in dust and dirt. The catch words that define beef from Simply Grassfed are “grass finished”.
