In the mood for a hearty beef stew? Braising beef cubes at a low temperature for a few hours will get you the most tender, mouth-watering stew.
Add some cooking fat to a pot, then add chopped onions, garlic, celery, carrots, and a little tomato paste.
Add the beef cubes, and cook until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper, then add your favorite stock, some red wine (if you like!), and herbs of your choice. Cook for a few hours on low heat.
You can add root veggies towards the last hour of cooking and pearl onions towards the last 20 minutes. Serve with crusty bread or mashed potatoes.
